    • 15 February 2014
Rachel Jane Richison who married Cornelius Post, 11 Jun 1816, in Harrison Co. Ohio, is said by one researcher to be the granddaughter of Rachel Jane Howard who married Samuel Richardson/Richison.

This same researcher further states that Samuel Richardson/Richison is descended from Ezekiel Richardson/Richison, b. 1601, Westmill, Hertfordshire, England, who married Susanna Bradford. Ezekiel, likely the first of the Richardsons in America, is one of three brothers whose lives and descendants are traced in The Richardson Memorial, written in 1873. Samuel Richardson/Richison who married Rachel Howard is included and recognized as a descendant of Ezekiel in the book. A digital image of the book is available through The New York Public Library online at https://archive.org/details/richardsonmemori00vint.

Despite a rather lengthy search through this book, following the descendants of Samuel & Rachel (Howard) Richardson, no connection was found for Rachel Jane Richison as part of the Richardson lineage in this book.
