RICHISON - Correspondence: 21 [a letter from Frank Vaughn Richison to Shirley Richison Fields, 21 Jun 1989]
. . . I am sorry to say this, but I have many more fond memories of my father's side of the family, then I do of my mother's. I always felt more comforable with them. The reason for this is that I used to feel that my mother's brothers were 'hicks from the sticks' and boorish. My mother would probably turn over in her grave if she was to read this, but this was how I felt, and I can't help it.
I do not remember too much about Norman Alexander, my mother's oldest brother, since he died when I was quite young. He was a used furniture and antique dealer, ( translation junk-dealer ). He had three children, Melba, Berne and Theodore. That's about it.
