    • George Richeson who married Prudence Prillaman in the "Early Clark County, Ohio Families Vital Statistics, Vol. 1", page 23, was born in 1786 in Virginia according to Willis A. Davis, 2550 S. University Blvd. 406, Denver, CO 80210, the submitter of that information.

      1795 Miami Co., Ohio: The Family Search web site has a George Richeson in the IGI, b. about 1795, of Miami County, Ohio, with no other information. It was contributed by an LDS member so not too much to go on.

      1795 Miami Co., OH: A second FS entry has a George Richeson, b. about 1795, of Miami County, Ohio, but it goes on to marry him to Prudence Prillaman on 20 DEC 1808, in Miami, Ohio.

      1823 Clark Co., OH: On page 3 of George Richardson's estate papers (A177, Clark Co. Probate Court), a note is signed as George Richison, Senior, which says we do have a younger man named George in the neighborhood so possibly a son.

      30 Jun 1840, Clark Co., OH: George Richeson/Richardson appeared in court to affirm his witness of the will of Benjamin Carman. The other witness, William S. Merrett, was living outside the jurisdiction of the court in Cass County, Indiana.

      NOTE: The names of the children of this family lead me to believe it is connected and their birth dates would indicate this George to be about the same age as John R. and Andrew.

    • (Research):

      There is a 52 year old George Richardson in Peru Twp., Miami Co., IN in the 1850 census. He is living with the Solomon Holman family and is listed as a laborer. He is the right age and with his younger children scattered about in 1850 living with various families -- some probably related -- after the death of George's wife sometime between the 1840 census and this one, perhaps George is also in a temporary home. By 1860 George is living with his son Andrew in Tipton Twp., Cass Co., IN but a page-by-page search of that township did not turn up anything that could remotely be George in 1850.



      In 1840, Solomon Holman and Stewart Forgy are living next to each other. By 1850, Stewart Forgy has died (FAG says 28 Nov 1847 & buried in New Carlisle, OH cemetery) but Margaret Forgy is still in Miami County & has Peter Richardson, 21, living with her. Solomon Holman married Mary Forgy, d/o Stewart & Margaret (Gilson) Forgy so Solomon would be a nephew by marriage to George Richison and George has apparently been farmed out to relatives also. Need to prove this theory.
