Portland -- Miss Jeannette Louise Loy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon L. Loy, r.R. 3, Portland, became the bride of Thomas E. Nixon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Nixon, R.R. 1, Portland, at 8 p.m. May 26. The wedding took place at the Mt. Zion Eub Church, with Rev. Ray Dixon reading the double-ring vows. Mrs. Robert C. Lyons, R.R. 1, Portland, cousin of the bride, was matron-of-honor. Dick Nixon, R.R. 5, Portland, was his brother's best man. After the exchange of vows, a reception was held in the church basement. The bride, a 1955 graduate of the Portland-Wayne Twp. High School, is employed at Jay Garment Co. Mr. Nixon, a graduate of the Gov. I.P. Gray High School in 1953. is employed at Anchor-Hocking Glass Inc., Winchester. Mr. and Mrs. Nixon are residing on R. R. 1, Portland, in a new mobile home. Mr. Nixon has been a member of the Indiana National Guard since 1953.
