Mrs. and Mrs. Arthur Alexander, northeast of New Pittsburg are announcing the marriage of their daughter Donna of Muncie to Herbert Walling, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Walling, southwest of New Pittsburg. The marriage ceremony was performed at the Christian parsonage in Kansas City, Tues., Aug. 16 by the pastor, Rev. J. T. Webb in the presence of the bride's brother, Gerald Alexander and Miss Norma Frazier, the latter of Kansas City. The bride wore a blue lace dress with white accessories and the groom wore grey. Mrs. Alexander (sic) has been employed for several months at the Woolworth store in Muncie. They are planning on residing on a farm near here in the near future.
The members and guests of the young people's class of the New Pittsburg Church of God met Monday evening at the Alexander home and gave the Newlyweds a belling and a miscellaneous shower. Many usefule gifts were received. Refreshments of Pop Corn and Candy were served to: Helen Rickert, Susan Pierce, June Bollman, Doris Girton, Waneta Kaufman, Helen Alexander, Glee Alexander, Marie Miller, Letha Rickert, Twila Alexander, Frank Richisan, Dora Show, Paul Leon Miller, Lawrence Bollman, Harvey Pierce, Leon Rickert, Gerald Alexander, Edward Marsh, Lester Walling, Harold Hotmire, Mrs. Roy Kaufman, Mr. and Mrs. Webb Stanford and son Leland, Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Richison, Mrs. R.A. Walling, Mrs. Perry Alexander, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Alexander, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Alexander and the honored guests mr. and Mrs. Herbert Walling.
