    • Most records found give Hugh's birth date as 14 August 1778 but the photograph of his grave marker gives his age at death of 85y 5m 29d and that calculates to a birth date of 17 August 1778. The grave marker is the earliest record I have found with evidence of his birth date.

      1 female to 45 [b. 1775-1794, [Eleanor b.1793]

[The unknown male could possibly be a son of Hugh's by his first marriage. He married Eleanor in 1814 and if he had a very small son, a two or three year old, he would probably have married fairly quickly after his first wife's death. There is no other unknown child in Hugh's household in 1830. The child could have died between 1820-1830 or perhaps have gone to live with relatives since so many children were beginning to appear in Hugh's household.]
